In 1998, the Older Cats Society became a CLAW Guild. Frisky-Tat, founder of OCS, inspired many older cats to participate and share their experiences. He worked with leaders of Purr Scouts to establish the Adopt-a-GrandKitty Program.

There have been four OCS leaders during the past seven years. Each one has contributed new ideas and established new programs, while carrying on the traditions that originated under Frisky's leadership
